Which is the best hotel suite on Burboun Street in New Orleans for a bachelor party in August?

I am planning a bachelor party in August in New Orleans and having a tough time finding a large suite on Burboun Street. Price is not too much of an issue.

  1. There are only two hotels on Bourbon Street with balcony rooms that face the street: The Royal Sonesta and the Ramada Inn on Bourbon Best is to call the hotels and speak with the appropriate manager (not Reservations) about what you need. Note that several bars/restaurants on Bourbon advertise balconies for rent. Ask the hotel for a recommendation if they don't have what you need. Good luck!
  2. Note: The Ramada Inn balcony is the one that you usually see in all the Mardi Gras footage. MTV set up their stage directly in front of that very balcony for something one year, I believe it was Mardi Gras or spring break. The rooms aren't real huge anywhere in New Orleans, and I don't know of any big suite that has a balcony on Bourbon. Keep in mind, usually everyone on the Bourbon side of the hotel shares the same balcony or two balconies (per floor), so if the rooms aren't big enough for all, see about getting two next to each other, you will be sharing a balcony anyway.
