Hotel parking in New Orleans near cruise ships?

Where can we stay in New Orleans before we go on a cruise and leave our car,while on the cruise, for less than 12.00 a day ? we have not gone yet but I am thinking we are going to go with one of the hotels that charge a little less for parking and leave our car at the hotel. It will still cost but not as much as the cruise ships parking.Thanks to all who answered sincerely.

I wouldn't stay in N.O. Its a dangerous town. 90% criminals.
see about Canal Place Mall .. I park there every time when i go to the Quarter .. so far its the cheapest I've found for $3 an hour .. but cant exceed $20... so i'm not sure if you can stay there for 5 days for $20.. . or its $20 for 24 hours.. call them and ask.
Parking at New Orleans hotels is fairly expensive. I doubt you will be able to find anything for much less. Some of the commercial lots may charge less but you may have to park outside and/or in a lot that isn't guarded 24/7. Plus, if you do not find something for much less than $12, it may not justify the cab ride you may need to get there and back. If you have a friend in New Orleans (in a decent neighborhood) you may want to leave your car with them and either ask for a ride or cab it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
The cruise terminal provides a covered parking deck for about $10 a day.
Were you able to find parking? We are also going on a cruise from NO and would like to park cheaper since we have 2 cars carrying family members. Any advice would be appreciated.
