Do you know that New Orleans is...? NOT underwater and is NOT slum city? Give the city the respect it deserves. This is what the "media" doesn't show you: (photos taken 12/26-29/2008) Cityscape http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2439/3802905740_22b72451f8_b.jpg Mississippi River on a Sunday afternoon (taken from my hotel room) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3521/3186295225_660ab0a582_o.jpg Sheraton Hotel; French Quarter (taken from my hotel room) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3472/3189164248_d3955dd147_o.jpg Sheraton (high rise view) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3649/3503219848_bc9d0aa8aa_b.jpg Do you know that now? What funny, interesting... and passionate answers. Wonderful! My point is that news media play up devastation and "extremes"- either poor or rich. Cities have both. You have the smartest Beans I know... and the most talented for drawing buildings. love.
